Fundraising Ideas for Distinct Exhibition
Bake sale:
- Purpose - To sell various kinds of pastries and making money for the exhibition.
- How? - By baking the pastries, ourselves (ready made cake mix, cupcakes, croissants and more) also by finding a sponsor (Dolceria Italfonte).
- Why?- Since our school canteen does not offer a variation of different pastries, many people would be interested to buy from us.
- Will it work? - Mcast students always create a bake sale or sell food, they always make a good income out of a bake sale.
Game Tournament:
- Purpose - Create and organise a tournament day for certain games (Fortnite, FIFA and League of Legends), the players have to give a donation to enter this tournament and wins some free distinct merchandise and a distinct medal.
- How? - We book a room at school and mcast students can join the tournament by paying a donation once they enter the room. They will need to bring their own laptops and mouse.
- Why? - Many people use technology these days and play games to communicate and compete. I think it's a good opportunity for students to socialize and compete, also while we make money out of the donations of a certain amount.
Football Match:
- Purpose - A football match between the students and lecturers with a donation fee, also spectators can join but need to give a donation to enter.
- How? - We can use Mcast Paola football ground for this event.
- Why? - To create a bond between the lecturers and students, while raising money for the exhibition.
- Merchandise Idea - We can create a medal with the distinct logo for each student who participates, or for the winning teams only.
Car Wash:
- Purpose - Create a car wash at school with a 10- or 8- euro fee each car.
- How? - Use the MCAST parking area to clean the cars. For car wash supplies we buy or use what we own and bring some cleaning supplies to use on that day, we use water from MCAST.
- Why? - Many people at MCAST own cars, we would have lots clients in an instant since it is winter, and people do not like to have their car dirty.
- Merchandise Idea: Distinct Keychain, badge or sticker. The money for these items can be added with the original fee.
Creative Arts day:
- Idea - Fine arts, graphic design, photography students would work as a team to gain money on this day. Fine arts students and graphic design student can work together to paint real life people or turning them into cartoon characters. Photography students need to get clients on the spot and take a photo of them, each photo, painting and cartoon character drawing will have their own separate fees which people have to pay to get their service.
- How? - The student artists can have different stations/ set up around the school to spread the word.
- Will this work? - Since in the future we need to find our own clients, this is a good way to start and talk with people.
Facebook Posts Idea: Posters can be done for the fundraising events and they can be shown on Facebook as posts and as stories.
